5 Festive Cocktails to Make at Home!
For us, the festive season is about going the extra mile, and just with the food!
So, the team at The Spirit Circle have put together 5 festive cocktails for you to make at home!
There's the perfect cocktail for Christmas Eve, Christmas Morning, Boxing Day and more using all local spirits.

Gingerbread Espresso Martini
It's like a Starbucks Gingerbread Latte... for adults... that's actually nice.
- 50ml Jameson Cold Brew
- 40ml Fresh Espresso
- 20ml Copeland Coffee Liquor
- 10ml Gingerbread Syrup (make your own or grab Monin!)
- Gingerbread person for garnish
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice.
- Shake vigorously - the harder the shake, the better the foam!
- Fine strain into a coupe with a gingerbread person garnish.
Sloe 75
A lovely wee number for Christmas morning to kick off the day of festivities ahead.
- 20ml Boatyard Winter Solstice or Sloe Boat Gin
- 10ml Lemon Juice
- 5ml Sugar Syrup
- Top with your favourite bubbles (Champagne or Prosecco)
- Lemon peel for garnish
- Add all ingredients, except the bubbles, to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice.
- Strain into a Champagne flute, top with bubbles and twist a fresh lemon peel into the glass for garnish.
Festive Punch
So easy to put together, so easy to serve and so easy to drink. Ideal if you've a lot of thirsty guests.
- 250ml Copeland Rum
- 250ml Apple Juice
- 150ml Cranberry Juice
- 100ml Brown Sugar Syrup
- 100ml Lemon Juice
- Cinnamon sticks, cloves and orange for garnish
- Mix all in a large bowl with ice and garnish with 4 cinnamon sticks, 4 cloves and sliced oranges.
- Serve in fancy tea cups with plenty of ice.
Boxing Day Spritz
The perfect light drink to freshen you up on Boxing Day.
- 40ml Boatyard Vodka
- 15ml Grapefruit Juice
- Top with your favourite bubbles (Champagne or Prosecco)
- 6 mint leaves
- In a highball / Collins glass add ice and all of the ingredients along with 6 mint leaves.
- Use a spoon to churn them all together.
- Garnish with a mint sprig... and the rest of your selection box.
Santa's Boot
Think of this as a lightly peated whiskey aperitif to get your palate ready for some festive food.
- 25ml Dunville’s 1808
- 25ml Sweet Vermouth
- 25ml Campari
- Terry's Chocolate Orange for garnish
- Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir for 10-15 seconds.
- Strain into a rocks glass with ice and garnish with Terry's chocolate orange - to be festive AF obviously.
